RIS50 Throwback Thursday – NASCAR Roots at Riverside
Riverside International Speedway has deep roots with NASCAR, reaching back to 1975 when it hosted the NASCAR Canada Export A Series. In 1981 and 1985, the NASCAR North Series visited the 1/3-mile oval, and since 2007, Riverside has hosted the NASCAR Pinty’s Series only annual stop east of Quebec; this year’s Bumper to Bumper 300 is set for August 17.
