JULY 24, 2021 – Nicholas Naugle (Dartmouth, NS) started on the pole and never looked back, picking up his first win of the season at the Parts for Trucks 150. Craig Slaunwhite (Terence Bay, NS) was the bridesmaid again coming home second in two consecutive races. Cole Butcher (Hantsport, NS) raced his way to a third place finish, just ahead of Greg Proude (Springvale, PE) and younger brother Jarrett Butcher (Porter’s Lake, NS) who rounded out the top five. The race marked round two of nine for the East Coast International Pro Stock Tour.
The 2021 edition of the IWK 250 has been delayed until later in the summer in anticipation of eased gathering restrictions so we can welcome back as many awesome race fans as possible. More here.
The IWK 250 is not just a race, it’s an event. One that’s on the bucket list for short-track stock car racing fans and racers from all over North America. The first “250” at Riverside was in 1977 and is the foundation for this race. It not only provides fantastic racing action and entertainment but since being branded the IWK 250 in 2007, has helped raise awareness and more than $500,000 for the IWK Foundation in support of the IWK Health Care Centre for children and women.
