This episode of Victory Laps continues to celebrate our 50th-anniversary as host Dylan Langille visits with Maritime stock car racing legend Rollie MacDonald, an inductee in both the Canadian and Maritime Motorsports Hall of Fame. Hailing from nearby Pictou, and having raced all over North America and involved in racing since 1966 as a racer, car owner, and sponsor, MacDonald’s stories are insightful. He talks about his start in racing, the early days at Riverside, his years as a car owner with Scott Fraser, his current team with Cassius Clark at the wheel, and the future with his grandson Austin MacDonald, who also chats with Dylan in this episode of Victory Laps. The show starts off with a quick wrap from the NASCAR Pinty’s Series Bumper to Bumper 300 event hearing from winner Jason Hathaway and Jerome Tracy, a mini stock driver these days but with a history at Riverside that reaches all the way back to 1969.
