Management for the East Coast International Pro Stock Tour has announced an 11-race schedule for the Maritime’s top touring series in 2023 including four stops at Riverside International Speedway, considered by many as Canada’s top stock car racing facility.

The first stop at Riverside is set for June 10. The second is July 15 for what many consider the top stock car race in Canada – the IWK 250 Presented by Steve Lewis. The series has been added to the Summer Sizzler held the third weekend in August since 2007, this year on August 19. On September 9, the series will be at Riverside for round 10 of 11 in the 2023 championship chase.

Scotia Speedworld (near Halifax) will also host four events including the season opener on May 20 and the series finale on September 23, along with a visit on June 24 and the Summer Clash 250 on August 12.

The remaining three races will be held at tracks in New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island, most notably a return to Speedway 660 (Geary, NB) on May 27 – the first stop at the facility for the Pro Stock Tour since 2017. Petty International Speedway (River Glade, NB) will host the series on July 22, and on the following weekend, on July 29, they’ll be at Oyster Bed Speedway (Oyster Bed Bridge, PE).

Sponsors, support classes, ticket information, and other event details will be announced as available.

Since its formation in 2001, the Maritime Pro Stock Tour has been a constant force in stock car racing and is known throughout North America as producing top talents. Since 2007, series racers have competed against NASCAR champions and legends in the IWK 250 – beating them on all but two occasions. In 2022, Cole Butcher won the iconic Oxford 250 in Maine, and in 2014, Donald Chisholm won a race in Canada’s only national touring series, the NASCAR Pinty’s Series. All testimonials showing the talent within the East Coast International Pro Stock Tour rank among the best, anywhere.

Excitement is building for the series’ 23rd season with increased prize money already announced along with rules revisions – both sure to attract more competitors from near and far – and provide added excitement for fans in the stands.

Riverside International Speedway has hosted the Maritime Pro Stock Tour every year since its inception and is excited to be part of the series’ continued growth in 2023.
